Alden quality is the gold standard, no surprises there, so I will talk mainly about sizing. Best advice I can give you is get sized in person with a Brannock device. I was sized at 10.5C, and general consensus is to size down. 5 for Barrie lasts. I bought size 10, and they fit well! The Cordovan is thick and substantial, but the break in was nearly instant, as far as welted shoes go. I'm excited to wear these for the next 10+ years. The sale price at Pelle Line can't be beat! This is my second pair of Alden from them.
